A recent Islands-wide poll by Honolulu's well-respected QMark Research and Polling shows Island voters overwhelmingly want "major changes" in the way election campaigns are financed in Hawai`i, and they endorse a new optional program where "candidates would no longer raise money from private sources," but would "receive a set amount of money from a publicly financed election fund."
